A former deputy governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba, along with former lawmakers from the state, have expressed their determination to dismantle what they perceive as a political dynasty being created by Governor Yahaya Bello,Daily Trust report.

Achuba made this declaration in Abuja, addressing journalists after numerous former House of Assembly members officially announced their intention to support the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Muritala Ajaka, in the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 11.

The former deputy governor expressed concern about the treatment of current lawmakers in the state by the governor. He highlighted the lack of suitable offices for members of the House of Assembly in the assembly complex located in Lokoja, the state capital.

He stressed that the imposition of someone on the majority of Kogi people and the alleged manipulation of the judiciary would no longer be tolerated in the Confluence State.

Led by Hon Simon Atadoga, the group, representing all three senatorial districts in the state, argued that Ajaka possesses the capability to restore the state to its esteemed position among the various states in the federation.
