On Thursday, Nigerian Army troops, in cooperation with the Nigeria Police, successfully rescued two kidnapped corps members who had been held by bandits in Yargoje community within Kankara local government area of Katsina State. These corps members were taken captive while they were traveling from Edo to Katsina State,leadership report.

Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the director of army public relations, issued a statement, commending the diligent efforts of the security forces that resulted in the safe recovery of the abducted individuals. General Nwachukwu also mentioned that the rescued corps members had received necessary medical care and support to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. Currently, they are under the custody of the Kankara police.

Furthermore, General Nwachukwu urged the public to actively cooperate with and support the security forces by providing timely and pertinent information to aid in the operational efforts against criminal elements.
