David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2023 election in Nasarawa State, has stated his commitment to abide by the decisions of the party amidst increasing calls from various groups for him to vie for the national chairmanship position of the PDP,Daily Trust reports.

Acknowledging the calls from well-meaning party members for him to take up a national role, Ombugadu emphasized that such calls align with the PDP’s constitution. In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, he expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and cited his track record of accomplishments, particularly during the gubernatorial contests in Nasarawa State in 2019 and 2023.

While acknowledging the significance of the calls and the contributions he could make at the national level, Ombugadu clarified that he has not yet decided to enter the race for the position of national chairman of the party. Despite the encouragement, he affirmed that his focus remains on serving the party in capacities where he can best utilize his skills and experiences for the greater good.
