The APC Professionals Council has criticized the opposition parties in the nation, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), for succumbing to heightened pressure following the appointment of former Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a congratulatory message jointly endorsed by its National Director, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade, and National Deputy Director, Hon. Abba Rabbeu, who previously served as the Senior Special Assistant On Political Awareness to former Governor Ganduje, the council asserted that the opposition parties are currently experiencing unease due to the selection of the new chairman, who boasts substantial expertise in human resource management and governance of resources.

The council emphasized that Ganduje has consistently played a pivotal role in solidifying internal democratic processes and resolving conflicts among disenchanted members within the party.

The statement read, “The appointment of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje as the national chairman of our esteemed party, alongside Senator Basiru Ajibola as national secretary, undoubtedly heralds a promising era in our commitment to providing exemplary service to the Nigerian populace.”

“This development has also sent a clear signal to the opposition, notably the PDP and the Labour Party, that conventional practices are no longer tenable. The entrance of new leadership has reverberated through their ranks, and we confidently assert that Ganduje is the ideal candidate for this role.”

“As he has pledged, he will promptly engage in efforts to foster authentic reconciliation among various factions across the nation, individuals who harbor grievances arising from the outcomes of the 2023 general elections.”
