Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, the troops executed a well-planned offensive operation in Tukandu village, targeting a notorious group of terrorists responsible for various abhorrent and criminal activities in the region.

The intense military offensive led to the demise of numerous terrorists, while others escaped with gunshot wounds. Subsequent mop-up operations yielded the recovery of three AK-47 rifles, one PKT Gun, 125 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, two Rocket-propelled Gun Bombs, and nine motorcycles.
Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, commended the troops and urged them to maintain their determination, continuing to intensify their operations against the terrorists in order to diminish their influence and restrict their freedom of movement.
