Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, expressed high praise for Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala, who emerged as the Men’s and Women’s African Footballers of the Year, respectively, at the prestigious 2023 CAF Awards ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night,leadership reports.

Senator Enoh lauded the Nigerian duo’s achievement, highlighting that their success in securing the most prestigious individual accolades in African football underscores their exceptional talent, dedication, and substantial contributions to the sport. He commended their exemplary performances, not only bringing pride to Nigeria but also gaining global recognition for their outstanding skills and commitment.

Additionally, Senator Enoh congratulated Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for winning the inaugural Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award, solidifying her position as the best goalkeeper in Africa.
