Abubakar Mai Gandi Shettiman, the Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has called upon IPMAN stakeholders to channel their determination towards establishing a credible partnership with the Federal Government to expedite the rehabilitation of the country’s refineries,leadership reports.

In a statement conveyed by his special assistant on Media, Afam Okwuone, Shettiman emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive solution to the challenges of fuel scarcity in Nigeria. He asserted that his principal is the right candidate for IPMAN as the elections approach.

Highlighting the pivotal role of IPMAN as the driving force behind the Nigerian economy, Shettiman acknowledged the organization’s resilience despite recent leadership challenges. He underscored the dependence of Nigerians and Nigeria on petroleum and its derivatives to propel economic activities.

Shettiman expressed his steadfast commitment to establishing new refineries across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones through partnerships with globally recognized foreign investors. This initiative, he believes, will elevate Nigeria to the ranks of global oil-producing nations, thereby addressing the persistent issue of fuel scarcity. Additionally, he anticipates that it will lead to favorable pricing for petroleum products, increased profits for oil marketers, and a stabilized foreign exchange for the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The statement further outlined Shettiman’s determination to leverage his extensive experience as a depot chairman and Vice President of IPMAN. He pledged to use his international influence as a successful entrepreneur to position IPMAN prominently on the national and global stage, transforming the narrative for the better in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

In a bold commitment, Shettiman promised to allocate resources for constructing a world-class headquarters for IPMAN in Abuja. He also vowed to establish well-equipped zonal offices across the country within one year of assuming the presidency of IPMAN, ensuring efficient administration of its activities.
