Vice President Kashim Shettima has praised Access Bank for allocating N30 billion in discounted loans to benefit 700,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This initiative aligns with the agenda of the Tinubu administration to stimulate job creation and foster growth within the MSME sector,Daily Trust report.

During a meeting with MSME stakeholders, including key figures from both the public and private sectors at the Presidential Villa, Vice President Shettima shared the news of Access Bank’s commitment. He emphasized that the loan scheme would kick off without delay.

Addressing the gathering, the vice president stated, “Every challenge, every problem is pregnant with opportunities for value addition and repositioning of the society. I just met with the management of Access Bank, and we had extensive discussions.

They have offered to provide N30 billion in support to MSMEs, with a particular focus on youth and women as the primary beneficiaries. These loans will be extended at a 15% interest rate,” as conveyed in a statement released on Saturday by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha.
