An anonymous resident, speaking to Daily Trust, disclosed that these incidents took place on various occasions in the village on a Saturday. However, the exact count of abductions and fatalities remains unconfirmed.

Reports indicate that Karaye and Rogo local governments have been grappling with significant security threats, primarily due to Rogo’s proximity to Katsina and Kaduna states.

It should be noted that in April 2023, bandits kidnapped a prominent businessman, Alhaji Nasiru Na’ayya, from Gangarbi Village in the Rogo LGA of Kano State, resulting in one fatality.

In 2021, the Karaye Emirate sounded the alarm about the influx of illegal miners from Zamfara into the emirate and implemented measures to address the issue. These measures included registering migrants in the emirate.

Efforts to contact the state’s police command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa proved unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls made to his phone.
