President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently engaged in discussions with key stakeholders as part of his efforts to address the political crisis in Niger Republic.

President Tinubu serves as the Chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The ongoing meeting includes the presence of the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Touray; General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who leads the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, and Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President.

While there has been no official statement to the media regarding the meeting’s agenda, an inside source disclosed that the primary focus is to prevent armed conflict related to the crisis in Niger Republic.
