Sheikh Khalifa Muhammad Mahi Inyas, the Grand Leader of Tijjaniya Order, has prayed for the victory of Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed at the forthcoming 2023 governorship elections in the state, WikkiTimes can report.

The governor whose first tenure of four years nears its end is also seeking reelection for another tenure during the forthcoming 2023 governorship elections under the platform of the PDP.

Sheikh Inyas offered the prayer when he visited the governor at the Government House Bauchi on Thursday.

The Grand Leader also prayed for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections in the country.

Sheikh Inyas praised the governor for his vigorous commitment to improving the welfare of Ulamas in the state.

Responding, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed called on Islamic clerics to intensify efforts in the propagation of Islamic knowledge, guidance and prayers for peace, unity and progress of Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole.

While commending the commitment, support and contributions of Islamic clerics to the development of Nigeria, Mohammed said his administration would continue to support them by providing them with the necessary assistance to discharge their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

Mohammed reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the lives of citizens are protected and improved, saying more dividends of democracy will be provided under his watch if reelected.
