President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reasserted his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promise of creating one million new jobs for young individuals in the digital economy, aiming to enhance their well-being and contribute to the overall economic advancement of the nation.

The president made this declaration on Saturday during his address commemorating the 2023 International Youth Day (IYD). He reaffirmed his government’s dedication to establishing substantial avenues of progress for Nigerian youth.

President Tinubu recognized the global rise of technology-focused pursuits among numerous young Nigerians and stood firm in his belief that those who have been bestowed with much should likewise be prepared to give much. His unwavering focus on delivering on his promises remained steadfast.

In a statement conveyed by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the president urged the younger generation to lead the charge in propelling national advancement, unity, and shared prosperity for all citizens.

Aligned with this year’s theme, “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World,” the president called upon young Nigerians to take the lead in pursuing the highest standards of sustainable development. This path, in line with his agenda, involves expanding opportunities for environmentally conscious employment and advocating for renewable energy solutions, an integral part of Nigeria’s present and future energy landscape.

President Tinubu offered reassurance to the upcoming generation, emphasizing his administration’s unwavering commitment to actively engaging and listening to their crucial and forward-looking feedback, with the intention of translating it into tangible actions.
