Over the weekend, two wives of Hon. Nasiru Ahmad, the chairman of Kiyawa local government in Jigawa State, were reportedly abducted. According to our sources, the kidnappers infiltrated Kiyawa town and forcefully entered the chairman’s residence, where they took the women. They resorted to firing gunshots into the air, causing widespread panic and confusion,leadership report.

SP Shisu Adam, the spokesperson of the state police command, stated that the abductors managed to seize the women by intimidating onlookers with random gunfire. Fortunately, there were no casualties during this incident. Upon receiving information about the abduction, the state police command promptly deployed a team to rescue the victims and apprehend the criminals.
“The police, along with other security agencies and concerned members of the public, are actively working towards the safe rescue of the abducted women,” he confirmed.
