Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged Christians across the state’s 13 local government areas to embrace the spirit of Christmas by embodying the virtuous qualities of Jesus Christ—such as sharing love, maintaining a prayerful disposition, and showing respect for leaders,Daily Trust reports.

The governor emphasized that cultivating a prayerful attitude and respecting leaders would contribute to overcoming present challenges, including insecurity and economic difficulties in the country.

In a Christmas message conveyed by the Acting Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Governor Sule extended warm wishes to the Christian community in the state for the 2023 Christmas celebration. He encouraged a period of thoughtful reflection and the reaffirmation of moral values inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Governor Sule highlighted the symbolic significance of Jesus Christ’s birth, representing love, peace, and humility. He emphasized Christ’s embodiment of self-sacrifice, good neighborliness, charity, and reconciliation among humanity. Reminding Christians of the sacred nature of the Christmas period, the governor called for prayers for sustainable peace, health, well-being, and prosperity for the nation. He urged them to remain steadfast in their prayers for the harmonious coexistence of the people of Nasarawa State and the entire country.
