Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State paid a visit to his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, amidst heightened security measures at Bello’s residence in Abuja,Daily Trust reports.

Ododo’s arrival at Bello’s residence on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, around 2:45 pm was accompanied by a contingent of security personnel and youth supporters protesting against the security blockade at the former governor’s home.

The street leading to Bello’s residence was cordoned off by numerous operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), preventing movement in and out of the area.

While the exact reason for the EFCC’s presence remained undisclosed, a senior EFCC official, speaking anonymously, hinted at an ongoing operation aimed at apprehending the former governor in connection with an alleged N84 billion fraud case.

Efforts to obtain further details from the official were unsuccessful as they chose not to comment further on the matter.

The EFCC’s actions appear linked to the ongoing prosecution of Yahaya Bello concerning the aforementioned fraud allegations.
