Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has advocated for the complete execution of the master plan of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) to expedite the progress of the sub-region. He made this assertion during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed board and management of the commission to the Government House in Gombe,Daily Trust report.

Governor Yahaya acknowledged the substantial investments and dedication demonstrated by the NEDC in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, and assistance to impoverished and vulnerable groups. He expressed confidence that the commission is effectively pursuing the vision behind its establishment.

Furthermore, Major General Paul Tarfa (Rtd), the Chairman of the NEDC Board, affirmed their unwavering commitment to enhancing the well-being of the people in the North East region.

In a related context, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, urged the Governing Board and management of the North East Development Commission to implement policies and initiatives that will enhance the socio-economic welfare of the people in the Northeast subregion and the nation as a whole.
