The National Health Care Development Agency, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Bauchi Field Office, initiated the vaccination of 48,000 girls against cervical cancer in the Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Thursday,Daily Trust report.

Aishatu Labaran, the UNICEF Toro Local Government Facilitator, stated during the event that the vaccination against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) was intended for girls aged nine to 14 years. She added that the vaccination campaign would span three weeks.
