The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has officially banned the utilization of the travel bag commonly known as “Ghana Must Go” for passengers at the country’s airports, particularly those traversing international terminals,Daily Trust reports.
Daily Trust has reported that the “Ghana Must Go” bag is a widely used and affordable luggage carrier in Nigeria, available in various sizes and colors. However, FAAN has imposed this prohibition due to the bag causing significant losses for airlines and damaging the conveyor belt system.
In a circular titled “Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go,” dated November 24 and signed by Henok Gizachew, Manager, Airport Services, FAAN emphasized the adverse impact of these bags on airlines and infrastructure. Airlines operating at the country’s international airports have been notified of this directive, and they, in turn, have communicated it to their travel partners and passengers.
