A youth coalition named Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard (BAM-V) has hailed the recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld the decisions of both the Election Petitions Tribunal and the Appeal Court, affirming Governor Bala Mohammed as the duly elected governor of Bauchi State. In a press release issued on Sunday in Abuja and signed by its director-general, Comrade Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, the group characterized the verdict as a triumph for democracy,leadership report.
According to the statement, the Supreme Court’s decision puts to rest all controversies surrounding the Bauchi State governorship election, urging opposition parties, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Ambassador Saddique Baba Abubakar, to acknowledge defeat and collaborate with Governor Mohammed in advancing the state’s development.
The group emphasized that the Supreme Court’s ruling signifies the people’s will, reflecting the electorate’s freedom to choose their leaders. It commended the Bauchi citizens for expressing their choice through the ballots on March 18, 2023, despite opposition resistance.

BAM-V expressed satisfaction as advocates for democracy and good governance, noting that the Apex Court validated the people’s will in Bauchi State. The group acknowledged the judiciary’s role as the last hope of the common man, underscoring the governor’s consistent victories in electoral adjudications.
While extending congratulations to Governor Mohammed for his success, BAM-V advised him to remember that the substantial votes were cast in favor of good governance, progress, and development. The group encouraged the governor to continue working towards elevating Bauchi State to greater heights and delivering more dividends of democracy to the people. Comrade Jibo expressed implicit confidence in the governor’s ability to further serve the interests of the people.
