Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, visited the state hospital to express condolences to victims who were attacked by Boko Haram while returning to Damaturu, the state capital. The victims, who suffered various degrees of injuries, were promptly admitted to the General Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital in Damaturu for treatment,
The Deputy Governor instructed the Chief Medical Director (CMD) to ensure that the victims receive thorough medical attention. He expressed appreciation for the dedication of the medical personnel in the hospital, acknowledging their prompt and effective emergency support for the victims.

Barde Gubana extended his well-wishes and prayers for the swift recovery of the victims.
Additionally, he offered condolences to the family of the deceased police corporal who lost his life during the encounter. During his visit, the Deputy Governor received a briefing from the CMD, Dr. Usman Abba Geidam, represented by the head of clinical services, Dr. Mohammad Aji, who confirmed that the victims are positively responding to treatment.
