The Bauchi State government, through the Task Force On Power Renovation, led by Commissioner Modibbo Abdulkadir, has pledged to restore electricity supply in rural areas affected by natural disasters,leadership reports.

During an inspection visit to impacted regions in the state’s three senatorial zones, the commissioner, represented by committee member Adamu Babangida, assured that the necessary infrastructure, such as broken poles, cables, and transformers, would be provided to the communities.

Residents of Birshi-Gandu, one of the identified communities set to benefit, expressed the challenges they have faced since the destruction of their electrical installations, impacting local businesses.

The restoration initiative will initially focus on communities in Bauchi and Ganuwa local government areas, with plans to extend the coverage to similar communities statewide.
