The Bauchi Solidarity Alliance (BSA) has strongly criticized the dissemination of a “misleading” video on social media purporting a collapsed school building in Toro local government area of Bauchi State,leadership reports.
In a statement released by its chairman, Sani Dankande Toro, and distributed to journalists in Abuja yesterday, the BSA expressed dismay at the intentional effort to tarnish Bauchi State’s reputation and that of its governor, Bala Mohammed, through the video.
The group clarified, “It is crucial to clarify that the depicted structure in the video does not belong to any educational institution within Bauchi State. Moreover, the language used in the footage does not correspond to the typical speech patterns of indigenous Bauchi residents. As responsible members of society, we must not readily accept such misleading information and fabrications.”

BSA cautioned those responsible for circulating the deceptive video to halt their smear campaign or face repercussions for their actions. They stressed that any attempts to sow discord would be met with consequences, with the perpetrators being held accountable.
BSA affirmed their determination to expose individuals aiming to besmirch Governor Bala Mohammed’s reputation and his administration, asserting that such individuals seek to propagate a campaign of defamation to undermine the progress achieved under Governor Mohammed’s leadership.
Emphasizing the substantial progress and development realized under Governor Mohammed’s tenure, particularly in infrastructure and education, BSA underscored the importance of acknowledging and celebrating these achievements rather than succumbing to misinformation and negative propaganda.
“The governor has dedicated significant support, investments, and resources to elevate the education system to global standards. Investments in upgraded infrastructure, quality educational materials, and enhanced teacher training programs have been made to elevate the quality of education in the state,” they stated.
BSA urged the people of Bauchi to exercise discernment in consuming information and to refrain from falling prey to manipulation by external sources. They encouraged the community to stay vigilant and rely on credible sources of information to avoid being misled by malicious agendas.
“To clarify, BSA stands firmly behind Governor Bala Mohammed and his administration. We are committed to safeguarding the integrity of Bauchi State and ensuring the continued prosperity and progress. The firm denouncement of the deceptive video by the group serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding truth and transparency in public discourse.
“As responsible citizens, we must not allow ourselves to be swayed by sensational videos or incendiary rhetoric. We must demand accountability from those who seek to undermine our collective efforts toward a better, more prosperous Bauchi. Let us reject division and embrace unity as we collaborate to forge a brighter future for all residents of Bauchi State,” Toro concluded.
