Gov Bala Inspects 25km Itas-Gadau Road Project, Campaigns for a Second Term for ConsolidationBy Isiyaka Ismail Wunti
As the ongoing Road Construction linking Itas and Gadau communities in Itas-Gadau local government area of Bauchi State reaches advance level of completion, farming and commercial activities have witnessed tremendous improvement around the agrerian communities.
The about twenty five kilometers project earlier inaugurated by the Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde was awarded by Governor Bala Mohammed led administration at the sum of eight point five billion naira.
The project include construction of drainages, culverts and bridges.Inspecting the project while passing from Gadau to Itas for his continuation of campaign rally, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the level progress made and charged the contractors handling the work to ensure timely completion.
When Governor was transversing through the communities, dry season farmers and commercial vehicle operators were carrying out their activities Some residents of the communities commended the Governor for the effort noting the move has reduced their transportation challenges.
While addressing his supporters at Itas Central Primary School, Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration is concern for their plight hence the move to construct the road and provide other basic amenities to better their lives.
He used the opportunity to solicit for their support in his re-election bid.
