The Ohaziri Mba Renaissance Movement is urging Nigerians, particularly politicians, to allow President Bola Tinubu the focus needed for delivering democracy’s dividends, especially during these challenging times when many are grappling to survive,Daily Trust reports.

Based in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, the movement, as articulated by its secretary, Francis Egwu, emphasized the necessity of this call, pointing out that some politicians continue to politicize the Nigerian situation despite the conclusion of the elections.

Expressing solidarity with the statement attributed to Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, the Renaissance Movement, operating as an APC grassroots support organization led by Dr. Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah, echoes the sentiment that politicians should prioritize delivering tangible democratic benefits and temporarily set aside political maneuvering.

The movement contends that the current administration under Tinubu is facing challenges in providing substantial dividends of democracy, and, as a result, politics should take a back seat for the time being.

Furthermore, the Renaissance Movement dismisses calls for President Tinubu to focus on the 2027 election, deeming such suggestions ill-timed, laughable, and indicative of a lack of understanding of the people’s concerns.
