Former Senate President Sen. Ahmed Lawan, Senator Danjuma Goje, and the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Dr. Ali Isa JC, have made significant contributions to their constituencies by donating a variety of items,Daily Trust reports.
In the Yobe North senatorial district, Senator Lawan distributed farm machinery and entrepreneurship materials to 6,766 members of his constituency. The empowerment initiative included 36 tractors, 13 rice mills, 10 rice planters, 302 harvesters, 2000 sprayers, 60 cars, and 250 motorcycles, among other items. Lawan emphasized at the distribution event in Gashua that empowerment not only creates jobs but also fosters self-sufficiency.
Governor Mai Mala Buni commended Lawan’s empowerment initiative, noting its alignment with various policies and programs of the state government.

Similarly, Senator Goje kicked off the distribution of 7,690 bags of fertilizer to farmers in his constituency over the weekend. Representing Gombe Central Senatorial District, Goje stated that beneficiaries included stakeholders at zonal, local government, ward levels, 869 political units, women and youth groups, and dry-season farmers across Akko and Yamaltu/Deba LGAs of the Gombe central zone. Each stakeholder from the two LGAs would receive eight bags, and each stakeholder from the 22 political wards would get four bags each. Committee members from the 869 units of the two LGAs would receive a bag each.
Meanwhile, the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Dr. Ali Isa JC, representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency of Gombe State, presented over 7,000 bags of rice and six cows to all the 20 wards and religious organizations in his constituency for the Christmas and New Year celebrations. While presenting the items to various ward heads of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Billiri, Cham, and Talesse in Gombe State, Dr. JC expressed his wishes for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. He mentioned that the gesture aimed to support the community during the festive season, given the economic hardships experienced in the country.
