The Code of Conduct Bureau has provided insight into the arraignment of Muhuyi Magaji, the chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Graft Commission, who is currently facing a 10-count charge of corruption at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). Magaji is scheduled to appear before the CCT on January 10, 2024,leadership reports.
Sources indicate that the Anti-Graft Commission chairman was brought before the CCT on Thursday, November 17, 2023. According to Mrs. Veronica Kato, the head of press and public relations at the Code of Conduct Bureau, the charges against Magaji encompass various violations, including breach of the code of conduct for public officers, conflict of interest, abuse of office, false asset declaration, bribery, and accepting gifts.

Investigations revealed that the Chairman failed to declare certain bank accounts under his name, amounting to N394 million, raising suspicions of corruption. Magaji was granted bail with a sum of N5 million and two sureties with properties within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). His mandated appearance at the CCT is scheduled for January 10, 2024.
