Determined to ensure that the Christian community in the state enjoyed the Yuletide season, Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has approved the release of the sum of N145m.
The amount was used to purchase items including cows, sheep, goats, bags of rice, cartons of indomie, jerrycans of groundnut oil and other items to be distributed among the various Christian groups across the state.
The disclosure was made by the Chairman of the distribution Committee of the items, Abdon Dalla Gin while briefing Journalists on the activities of the Committee preparatory to the distribution of the items.
Abdon Gin who is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Bauchi State on Civil Service Matters said that it was not a new thing as the Governor has been doing same he was sworn in as Governor in 2019.
He commended Bala Muhammad for being fair to all the segment of the State stressing that the Governor has really demonstrated that he is for all the people of the state irrespective of religious and political differences.
He assured that his Committee has concluded all arrangements to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of the items to every segment of the Christian community in the state.
