Authorities in Nigeria have said security forces have been sent to rescue more than 20 people who were kidnapped by bandits in a farm in Katsina state.
Among the abducted people are many women.
Residents of the area where the incident happened said that the assailants came in large numbers on motorcycles and attacked the harvesters near Mairuwa village in the state.
The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force in Katsina State told the BBC that 21 people were kidnapped during the attack on Sunday.
However, some reports say that the number of kidnapped people is much higher.
