18-year-old, Ebuchin Ofieze, was said to have been hit by a stray bullet fired by a police officer (name withheld) who was trying to scare off some offenders.
The incident was said to have happened after Policemen alleged to be from ‘C’ Division Jos, stormed the area in their effort to curb illegal parking at terminus market.
Ikechuckwu who is an eye witness narrates, “I was in my shop with him when a bullet hit him from behind through the window as a result of Police personnel trying to disperse the multitude of Napep drivers trying to stop them from arresting the culprits”.
As at the time of filling this report, the corpse of the victim has been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital JUTH.
