Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has distanced himself from a circulating poster suggesting a 2027 presidential bid alongside Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as his running mate. Ganduje condemned the poster as completely false and labeled it a malicious piece of fake news,leadership reports.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje attributed the poster to mischief-makers, speculating possible involvement of certain elements within the Kwankwassiyya Movement, who he believes are intent on creating discord between him and President Bola Tinubu.

“The public is hereby informed that the poster currently circulating on social media, alleging that APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is running for president in 2027 with Governor Hope Uzodimma as his vice-presidential candidate, is entirely false and a malicious fabrication of fake news.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) firmly asserts that this is the handiwork of mischief-makers, potentially in collaboration with elements within the Kwankwassiyya Movement, aiming to sow discord between Dr. Ganduje and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“For clarity, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje remains steadfastly loyal to President Tinubu and is fully committed to supporting the President’s vision and leadership.

“Dr. Ganduje believes that President Tinubu is on the right path to leading Nigeria toward greater prosperity and unity,” the statement read.

He urged the public to disregard “this fabricated story and refrain from spreading unverified information.”
