Bauchi State Police Arrest Two for Sodomy, Intimidation of Minors, and Firearms Possession

The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended two individuals for their alleged involvement in sodomy and the criminal intimidation of minors, leadership reports.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, disclosed that the first suspect, 41-year-old Aminu Musa from Sabon Garin Narabi, was accused of engaging in unnatural sexual acts with an 11-year-old boy, Hassan.

According to the statement, Musa lured the boy into his room, adjacent to a shop where he worked, and repeatedly assaulted him. The incident came to light on December 30, 2024, when the victim’s family lodged a complaint. Officers from the Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters responded promptly, arresting the suspect.

During interrogation, Musa confessed to the crime, explaining how he manipulated the boy by offering him food and small sums of money ranging from N100 to N300. He admitted exploiting these opportunities to commit the offenses, viewing them as a form of “reward.”
