Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his appreciation for the Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal’s recent judgment, which led to the removal of Abba Kabir Yusuf, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governor, from office,leadership reports.
Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, shared his sentiments during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, following the Tribunal’s decision to declare Nasir Gawuna, the APC candidate, as the rightful winner of the March 18 governorship election in the state.
He expressed gratitude to God for guiding the judiciary to deliver a just judgment and also thanked President Bola Tinubu for fostering an environment conducive to the growth of this essential arm of government, which serves as the last resort for the common citizen.

Ganduje extended his appreciation to party leaders, members within and beyond the state, for their support and prayers. He reassured the business community that brighter days were on the horizon once the APC assumed control in Kano State.
“Today marks a historic occasion. We are thankful to Allah for creating an atmosphere where the judiciary can issue a fair and transparent judgment in our favor. We extend our gratitude to the judiciary, our party leaders in the state, the business community, and various support groups.
“We applaud everyone in Kano state for their patience and continuous prayers for Allah to grant us victory. We urge them to maintain peace and conduct themselves peacefully.
“We assure the business community that under the leadership of our capable Governor, Dr. Yusuf Gawuna, when we assume office, business will thrive in Kano.
“We thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is currently in the United States, for creating an environment conducive to the growth of the judiciary in Nigeria,” Ganduje stated.
Nasir Gawuna, the APC governorship candidate for Kano State, also praised the judiciary for its impartiality and thanked God for consistently granting him victory. He expressed gratitude to Ganduje for his unwavering support.
Gawuna assured the people of the state that when he assumes the governor’s seat, he will create an enabling environment for businesses to flourish, with a strong focus on healthcare, commerce, education, and security.
“This is a day that Allah has blessed us with victory through today’s judgment, and we thank the judiciary for its fairness. We recognize that Allah has guided us before, and He has done so now. In Sha Allah, He will continue to guide us in the future. We pray for good health and longevity to serve the people effectively.
“I want to express my gratitude to my mentor, H.E Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, for his unwavering support and confidence in me. In Sha Allah, we will continue the good work and ensure fairness to all.
“Kano State is known for commerce, and we have highlighted commerce, education, health, and security in our campaign blueprint. In Sha Allah, we will uphold these commitments and ensure that Kano is free from insecurity and other challenges,” Gawuna declared.
