The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has decided to extend the registration period for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) by an additional two weeks. This extension aims to accommodate all prospective candidates who are yet to register,Leadership reports.
Initially scheduled to conclude on Thursday, 28th March, 2024, the Direct Entry registration commenced on Wednesday, 28th February, 2024. However, recognizing the necessity to facilitate more candidates’ participation, JAMB has elongated the registration period until Thursday, 11th April, 2024.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, explained that the extension was prompted by the challenges candidates encountered while navigating through certain security screening procedures. These measures were implemented to curb the prevalence of fake A’level certificates presented by some Direct Entry applicants.

Furthermore, candidates whose certificate-issuing institutions are yet to verify their credentials despite repeated requests will still be allowed to register, albeit without completing the necessary verification procedures.
Dr. Benjamin announced that JAMB would provide further updates to the media in due course.
