Former President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that after serving two terms as Nigeria’s leader, he depends on one of his houses in Kaduna State to generate income for his upkeep,Daily Trust reports.
Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus meeting held at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Katsina State, Buhari emphasized that he did not amass wealth through corrupt means during his time in office.
He highlighted the challenges of governing Nigeria, explaining that many citizens fail to understand the complexities of leadership and the difficulties involved in managing the country.

“Nigeria is a difficult country to govern, but most people are unaware of this. You can only truly grasp the intricacies of leadership and the nation’s challenges when you find yourself in a position of authority,” Buhari said.
He added, “I look healthier and better now than I did while serving as president. People who see me now often comment on the difference.”
Reflecting on his personal life, Buhari shared, “After my eight years as a civilian president, I have only three houses—one in Daura and two in Kaduna. I rent out one of them in Kaduna to earn money for feeding.”
