Mojisola Awesu, a 21-year-old student at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, has been found dead after being reported missing since August 9, 2024. Her body was discovered at a dumpsite in the Aleniboro area of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State,Daily Trust reports.
The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the incident on Tuesday. According to DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mojisola received a call on August 9, 2024, from a woman named Timileyin, inviting her to an event organized by students of Summit University, Offa, and Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
Timileyin introduced Mojisola to Adebayo Happiness, a student of Summit University, who allegedly invited her to a night party, offering her N15,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend.

Mojisola informed her roommate, Blessing O., that she felt uneasy at the hotel where Adebayo had taken her and mentioned that there was no party at the location. Shortly after this, Mojisola’s phone was switched off, and Blessing’s attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.
The police have arrested suspects in connection with the murder, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Mojisola’s death has sparked an outcry on social media, with her friends and colleagues demanding justice and urging celebrities and public figures to support her cause.
