Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has announced a significant cabinet reshuffle, which includes the removal of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Chief of Staff, the Commissioner for Information, and four other commissioners,Daily Trust reports.
According to the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the shakeup is part of a strategic political realignment aimed at enhancing the administration’s performance and delivering better governance to the people of Kano State.
The Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, has been relieved of his duties, and the office has been scrapped. Meanwhile, the SSG, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, was removed due to health reasons. The Governor also reassigned several cabinet members to improve administrative efficiency.
