Governor Umaru Dimko Radda of Katsina State has issued an immediate suspension order for Lawal Ibrahim, an employee of the Ministry of Education and former Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Dantankari in Dandume Local Government Area,leadership reports.
Ibrahim’s suspension stems from allegations of his involvement in the sexual assault of a female student at the school.
A statement released by Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, Director of Press to the Secretary to the State Government (SGS), affirmed that the governor received a report outlining the sexual harassment accusations against the ex-principal.
The governor has instructed the Commissioner of Basic Secondary Education to promptly suspend Lawal Ibrahim, conduct a swift investigation into the allegations, take necessary actions, and provide a report to the governor.

Additionally, the Commissioner of Police in Katsina State has been assigned to thoroughly investigate the allegations and initiate an inquiry into the conduct of the Dandume Divisional Police Officer (DPO) regarding potential corruption or compromise in handling the matter.
A comprehensive report is expected to be submitted to the governor upon the conclusion of these investigations.
