Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed delight at the outstanding performance of students from both public and private schools across the state in the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME),leadership reports.
Governor AbdulRazaq particularly highlighted the remarkable achievement of Master Samuel Oluwasemilore from Government Secondary School, Omu Aran, who scored an impressive 358 in the examination.
In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor also extended congratulations to 30 students from Kwara-based Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, who scored between 300 and 355 marks, along with other high-performing students from various schools in the state.

“These achievements fill us with pride and serve as inspiring examples for younger generations to strive harder, excel in their studies, and bring honor to their families and communities,” Governor AbdulRazaq remarked.
He further expressed satisfaction that these successes are not isolated incidents but are part of a broader positive trend in the education sector. This comes shortly after Kwara State’s representation at the World School Debate in Singapore, among other notable accomplishments.
Governor AbdulRazaq assured the people of Kwara State of the government’s commitment to continually surpassing previous achievements in education. He highlighted the success of the KwaraLEARN program and announced plans for its statewide expansion. Additionally, he revealed the upcoming launch of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund, aimed at injecting more resources and enhancing accountability in the education sector.
“The coming years promise even greater educational achievements, thanks to our concerted efforts and innovative initiatives,” the governor affirmed.
