In their official communication, delivered by their coordinator, Samson A. Okoduwa, and Secretary, Imade Osagie, and distributed to the press in Benin City, the group emphasized that, following thorough scrutiny and extensive consultations, they have reached the conclusion that Senator Okpebholo stands out as the most favored candidate among the numerous APC aspirants vying for the party’s gubernatorial nomination.
Furthermore, they appealed to the APC leadership to allocate the party’s gubernatorial ticket to Edo Central senatorial district in the name of fairness, justice, and equity, since the other two zones have previously held the governorship position.

While urging all sons and daughters of Esan land to support the APC in their efforts to take over governance from the Obaseki administration, which they referred to as “lackluster,” the group highlighted Okpebholo, affectionately known as ‘Akpakomiza,’ for his demonstrated capacity, purposeful leadership, and forward-thinking contributions to the development of the Esan people, utilizing his personal resources.
“It is time for us to unite and rally behind Senator Okpebholo’s gubernatorial aspirations. Although there are other formidable contenders in the race, Okpebholo possesses the financial means and electability to face the opposition effectively. His track record includes notable achievements in basic infrastructure, scholarships, and the provision of boreholes for his people,” the group emphasized.
