The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled the trial and ruling on the bail application for the #EndBadGovernance protesters for September 11. These protesters were arraigned in Abuja on Monday, facing charges of alleged treason, inciting mutiny, and attempting to destabilize Nigerial,leadership reports.
The ten individuals brought before Justice Emeka Nwite at the Federal High Court in Abuja include Michael Adaramoye (also known as Lenin), Adeyemi Abayomi, Suleiman Yakubu, Opaoluwa Simon, Angel Innocent, Buhari Lawal, Mosiu Sadiq, Bashir Bello, Nuradeen Khamis, and Abdulsalam Zubairu.
In the six-count charge filed by Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, the Federal Government also named a British citizen, Andrew Wynne (also known as Andrew Povich), as a defendant in the case.

The charge sheet, labeled FHC/ABJ/CR/454/2024, accuses the defendants of treason, destabilizing the country, intimidating the President, and destroying the NCC in Kano, among other offenses.
The Inspector-General specifically alleges that between July 1 and August 4, 2024, the protesters conspired to destabilize the country and commit treason, an offense contrary to Section 95 and punishable under Section 97 of the Penal Code.
Egbetokun further stated that between July 1 and August 10, 2024, in Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, and Gombe, the defendants, in collaboration with Andrew Wynne, waged war against the state with the intent to intimidate or overawe the President by attacking police officers, burning police stations, and damaging various government and private properties.
The charges also include inciting public disturbance by carrying placards with inscriptions such as “end bad government,” an act considered an offense under Section 416 of the Penal Code (Northern States) Federal Provisions Act CAP P3 LFN 204.
