Damaturu residents experienced a welcome relief yesterday as electricity was restored, ending a four-day outage caused by Boko Haram insurgents destroying power towers in Katsaita village, Damaturu LGA,Daily Trust reports.
The destruction, which also affected Maiduguri and Gombe State, led to households, businesses, and water vendors facing difficulties.

The Yobe State Rural Electrification Board, in collaboration with the Yola Electricity Distribution Company, successfully restored power to Damaturu around 11:46 am on Sunday.
