Senator Shehu Umar Buba has expressed deep sorrow over the recent floods that devastated parts of Bauchi State, particularly Fadaman Mada, where numerous homes were destroyed,
In response to the disaster, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence donated N10 million and 500 bags of rice to five Local Government Areas (LGAs). The LGAs—Katagum, Giade, Jamma’are, Zaki, and Darazo—each received N2 million and 100 bags of rice.
In his message to the affected families, Senator Buba stressed the urgency of providing relief to mitigate the impact of the disaster.
“I was saddened by the news of this unfortunate incident, and I pray that Allah grants the victims the strength to bear their losses,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

He also called on the Bauchi State government to expedite the process of accessing the N3 billion allocated by the federal government for flood relief.
The Senator noted that the fund, approved by the National Economic Council (NEC), is meant to support victims of natural disasters.
“The timely release and proper distribution of these funds would greatly improve the lives of those affected by the floods,” the statement concluded.
