All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has described as unlawful the suspension of a former governor of the state, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, from the party by its Makama ward chapter in Bauchi metropolis.
“Take notice that the APC Bauchi State chapter under the chairmanship of Hon. Babayo Aliyu Misau hereby declares as null and void, the unlawful suspension of His Excellency, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN from the party”, the party said.
A statement reversing the earlier decision of the APC in Makama Sarkin Baki ward at its meeting held on December 14 was signed Thursday by the state publicity secretary of the party, Adamu Aliyu Jallah and made available to journalists in Bauchi yesterday.
The APC in Malaka Sarkin Baki ward had at an emergency meeting held on December 14 suspended the former governor over what it described as anti-party activities.
A letter of suspension signed by the ward chairman and secretary of the APC, Sa’adu Laminu Baban Karatu and Abdullahi Musa Naira respectively said the ward chapter resolved to suspend the former governor based on the allegations levelled against him.
