On Sunday, suspected hoodlums dispersed #EndBadGovernance protesters at Freedom Park in Ojota, Lagos,Daily Trust reports.

The dispersal occurred after some protest leaders withdrew following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s national broadcast, which called for dialogue.

It was reported that while some protest leaders agreed to end the demonstration on Sunday morning, a few remained determined to continue.

One protester told our correspondent, “The hoodlums appeared suddenly after some of our leaders had left. They were brandishing dangerous weapons, and we all had to scatter in different directions.”

Daily Trust reports that earlier, an Area Commander of the Nigerian Police had appealed to the protesters to maintain peace following the President’s broadcast.
