The Nigerian Army has withdrawn its troops from the troubled Okuama community in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.

The recent spate of violence occurred on the 14th of March, resulting in the tragic deaths of four Army officers and 13 soldiers, whose bodies were horrifically mutilated. This violence prompted residents to flee the area out of fear of further attacks.

Subsequently, the deceased were laid to rest, and the detained King has been released, marking a significant step towards normalcy for the community.
