Jimoh Ibrahim, Senator representing Ondo South, criticized the quality of ministers serving in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, asserting that many fall below the standard expected. He highlighted allegations of corruption against some ministers and noted a lack of effectiveness among others,Daily Trust reports.
Speaking on Channels Television, Ibrahim praised Tinubu’s governance vision but expressed concerns about the absence of a structured mechanism to achieve it. He advised the president to dissolve the cabinet due to perceived lukewarmness and incompetence, urging the appointment of more capable individuals.

Ibrahim emphasized the need to address corruption allegations promptly, warning of adverse consequences if left unattended.
He assessed that several ministers were not meeting expectations, impacting the nation’s efforts to tackle economic and security challenges. Notably, last year saw the suspension of Minister Betta Edu over corruption allegations in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
