The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has issued a call for Christians to offer prayers for peace, security, and economic rejuvenation in Nigeria as they celebrate Easter,Daily Trust reports.
In a statement delivered by its National Publicity Secretary, Professor Tukur Muhammad-Baba, the ACF extended solidarity to all during this sacred period marked by divine grace and compassion.
Acknowledging the formidable challenges confronting Nigerians, including economic strains, social unrest, and political uncertainties compounded by insecurity, the ACF underscored the significance of upholding hope amidst adversity.

The forum urged the Christian community to fervently pray for the restoration of peace, bolstered security, and economic resurgence across the nation.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, through his spokesperson Ebenezer Adeniyan, stressed the importance of forgiveness during Easter. He encouraged individuals to release bitterness and embrace forgiveness, recognizing its role in fostering inner tranquility and unity. Aiyedatiwa advocated for love and patriotic dedication, echoing the scriptures’ teachings on love as a catalyst for peace and progress.
In Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki encouraged Christians not to lose faith despite economic hurdles. He prompted reflection on Easter’s teachings and urged a recommitment to Nigeria’s advancement through unity and resilience.
Similarly, Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno expressed optimism in surmounting economic challenges. He highlighted various initiatives, including gratuity disbursements, healthcare interventions, and food security programs, aimed at supporting vulnerable populations and traders within the state.
