Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, urges Christian faithful and all Nigerians to pray for the state, the nation, and its leaders to overcome the current economic challenges. Governor Makinde conveyed this message while extending his greetings to Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter festival,leadership reports.
Expressing his congratulations to Christians for marking another Easter season, Governor Makinde encouraged them to utilize this special time for increased prayer and supplication for the country and the state amidst the prevailing economic conditions. He also urged Christians to embrace the teachings of love and sacrificial living embodied in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the importance of putting these teachings into practice, particularly in today’s circumstances.

“I extend heartfelt congratulations to our Christian brethren on the occasion of the Easter festivity. It is my hope and prayer that we are granted the opportunity to experience more such occasions,” said Governor Makinde. “I also urge them to follow Christ’s examples of love, selflessness, and sacrificial living, as demonstrated by his crucifixion and resurrection. Additionally, I call upon all residents of the state to remain vigilant and security-conscious as they celebrate Easter. Remember, if you see something, say something.
