Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the opposition Labour Party (LP), to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu in the pursuit of a stronger Nigeria,leadership reports.
During Mr. Obi’s courtesy visit to the Government House in Lafia on Monday, Governor Sule extended this call not only to Obi but also to members of the opposition who hold him in high regard, emphasizing the need for unified support for President Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at national development.
Acknowledging Obi’s recognition of the shift from politics to governance, Governor Sule emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing Nigeria’s challenges, stating that President Tinubu requires comprehensive support from individuals like Obi, given his experience and competencies.

Sule highlighted Obi’s current efforts in Nasarawa State, particularly in providing relief to the populace through the construction of boreholes, a move aimed at alleviating the prevailing hardships nationwide. He emphasized the parallel endeavors of President Tinubu and encouraged Obi to join forces with others who hold him in high esteem to assist Tinubu in his endeavors.
In response, Peter Obi expressed his commitment to nationwide projects aimed at alleviating the sufferings of Nigerians, stressing the importance of shifting focus from political campaigns to effective governance. He commended the APC government for infrastructural developments, such as the new expressway linking Abuja to Lafia, suggesting a willingness to support such initiatives, even if it involves tolling roads for maintenance, and encouraged a culture of appreciation for positive developments.
