Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has reassured the 1,570 Batch A Stream I corps members deployed to the state, emphasizing that Gombe is a welcoming place for all Nigerians,leadership reports.

Yahaya conveyed this assurance during the opening ceremony of the orientation course for the 2024 Batch A Stream I corps members in Amada, Akko Local Government Area of the state. Speaking through Mr Inuwa Ibrahim, the state commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yahaya affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe and hospitable environment in Gombe for both residents and visitors.

He encouraged the young corps members to feel secure as they embark on their national service and contribute to the state’s development. Yahaya highlighted the government’s efforts to guarantee the security and welfare of corps members, emphasizing that Gombe State is a peaceful destination, offering a conducive environment for their activities during their service year and beyond.

Addressing concerns about security, Yahaya urged the corps members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities, emphasizing the importance of adhering to camp rules and regulations while shunning vices that could jeopardize their future or tarnish the image of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
